PHILSTAFF conducted its 5-year Strategic Planning workshop in December 2007. The Strategic Plan, covering CY 2008 – 2012   sets the direction towards a more vibrant and dynamic organization.

During the Strategic Planning Workshop the internal and external environmental analysis of Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) was conducted to come up with  concrete realty and to guide the organization in its planning and target setting. The SWOT analysis served as one of the primary backdrop of this Business Plan. 

Trends in the BPO industry shows a continuing tight competition among recruiting companies offering high quality talents at cheaper prices.  As opportunities for business development will continue to flourish, demand for more technical and managerial jobs will increase.  Thus, the challenge PHILSTAff is facing is to leverage its core competence while striving for continuous improvement.

The recruitment business, while still in its sunrise stage, has already signified keen competition because of the growing demand for  prestigious and high paying jobs among goal-oriented companies. Recruitment isn’t just supplying the human resources needs of companies, it primarily contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the client companies.  In the IT industry for instance, it is the growing demand for expert IT professionals that  has led companies to partner with BPO’s,  to ensure that qualified executives, managers and staff are hired, while saving the companies from tedious administrative and recruitment processes.  The recruitment company, like PHILSTAFFF has become the virtual HR department of client companies.  

The Work Plan for CY 2008 serves as the primary guide for action in line with the organization’s focus and strategic directions.

The Strategic Planning workshop will be followed by series of trainings and learning sessions to continuously hone its Officers and Staff and equip them with the rightful skills they need.
